Banna Beach is one of Kerry’s and Irelands finest beaches
miles and miles of golden sand washed by the broad Atlantic Ocean excellent for
swimming (“Blue Flag” beach) shore angling and water sports, and a perennial
inspiration to painters. This beach has a historical significance in April 1916
Sir Roger Casement landed from a submarine which accompanied the AUD on her
ill-fated journey with arms for the Easter rising.

The nearest village Ardfert ten minutes drive away from Ocean
Spray, where food and music are plentiful. It has the ruins of a splendid
Cathedral with curious monuments and gravestone. Ocean Spray is situated fifteen
minutes drive from Tralee, thirty minutes drive from Killarney and forty minutes
from Dingle. Ideal location for touring the Ring of Kerry and the West of
Ireland.
